The Collab Presents The Connection: Feb. 13
On February 13, a group of Detroit entrepreneurs that includes Stamps alum Caleb Moss (BFA 2013), presents the Connection, a night of art, music, and fellowship that highlights the many talents of local Detroit artists.
The Collab announces The Connection, which is a showcase of Detroit artists through visual art, poetry, and music that will be held on Saturday February 13th at Grand Circus Detroit (1570 Woodward Detroit MI, 48226) in downtown Detroit from 6pm-9pm. This will be the 2nd fundraising event for The Collab, a conglomerate of four small businesses including Determination Media, DREAM Clothing, Jones, and K. Welsh Designs that were started by four entrepreneurs from the city of Detroit.
The event will have various performances, displays of artwork, food upon entry, and several giveaways. The Connection serves the purpose of raising money for Detroit Public high school seniors. General admission to this event is $15 for the early bird special and $20 after. Reduced tickets for $10 are available for those who donate a case of water to the Flint Water Donations campaign at Pedicure & Shoes 2 Go (243 W. Congress St. Ste 102 Detroit, MI 48226) prior to the event. $15 tickets will be available the day of the event for those who donate a case of water to the cause at the event. Entry to this event includes access to live performances, complimentary entrees, and drinks.
The Collab hosted a charity-networking event in December of 2015 to raise money for local Detroit charities during the holiday season. This time around, the group of Detroit entrepreneurs want to shine light on the many talented artists in the city of Detroit. Poets, rappers, and singers will take the stage to perform original content throughout the night. Photographers, painters, and other visual artists will decorate the venue with their original pieces while some artists will create new artwork during the event.
