Stamps Community Represented in Lawrence Street Gallery Exhibition

The Lawrence Street Gallery features the new exhibition Body Eclectic ​‘17, on display throughout the month of February. This year’s show features members of the Stamps community: Lecturer Nora Venturelli was the juror for the show, and represented artists include Professor Emeritus Ted Ramsay and alumna Cynthia Yates (BFA 1973). Stamps alumna Laura Whitesides Host (BFA 1971) is a founding member of the Gallery. 

With a record breaking number of entering artists and artwork, this year’s Body Eclectic exhibit is exciting and….eclectic!
Juror Nora Venturelli was very pleased with the exceptional work that was entered and we were overwhelmed that so many artists entered this competition. We were amazed at the breadth of media celebrating the figure that is being produced in this area. The Lawrence Street Gallery was established in 1987 by a small group of artists to showcase and sell their work in a gallery setting.
