Richard Hackel Exhibits at Mass Yawkey Center
Work by Richard Hackel (BFA 1977) is on view at the MGH Yawkey Outpatient Cancer Clinic from February-May 2019. The exhibition includes work from 16 artists, with Hackel showcasing 11 pieces.
Since graduating from Stamps, Hackel obtained an MA in Interdisciplinary Art from San Francisco State University in 1983. These days, many of his pieces are time-sequenced panoramic photographs of nature scenes. He views these 360-degree images as a slice of time, through which the viewer can see everything that is happening in a scene all at once.
