Peter Crow Receives Award at MFAC

Peter Crow (BFA ​‘76) recently received an award from the Michigan Fine Arts Competition, an annual exhibition held at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center. The BBAC has hosted this show since 1982, when the Detroit Institute of Arts relinquished to it what was then called the Michigan Annual. Crow’s award winning work is from his recent ​“Oak Avenue” series, distinguished by saturated color, repeated linear gestures, simplified forms, shifting planes, and scarred surfaces of cut and torn paper.
