Mike Vitale: 3D Printed Slot Car Championship

Digital Fabrications Studio Coordinator Mike Vitale recently raced his miniature car (which he ​“printed” at the 3D Lab using the Dimension Elite ABS printer) in a ​“slot car competition” held by Materialise at the RAPID (Rapid Prototyping) conference in Detroit. 

His car- which he named — ​“Stamps Speeder”- was fast and furious. Mike blames ​“driver error” for a middle-of-the-road finish.
