Melanie Manos Performs New Work: Rumble Mambo
On February 9, Melanie Manos presented a performance in response to her show Truing on exhibit now at Simone De Sousa Gallery.
Rumble Mambo is a performance in three vignettes engaging movement + object + sound, which included participation from Stamps faculty Jessica Frelinghuysen, Stamps alum Ruth Burke and Detroit-based artist Lisa Tolstkya. Truing and Rumble Mambo speak to power dynamics, precarity, the human-technology interface. Truing runs through Feb. 23, 2019.
