Melanie Manos and Katie Shulman: New Collaborative Work
Melanie Manos, Teaching Professor and Janie Paul Collegiate Lecturer, and Katie Shulman, Stamps Major Gifts Officer, bring their artistic talents to Detroit Month of Design with their collaborative multi-media installation, Bob and Weave. This captivating work is part of the Environment + Microclimates exhibition, held at the historic Boyer-Campbell Building.
Bob and Weave beautifully captures the intimacy and vulnerability of a budding relationship, brought to life through powerful performative actions conveyed in larger-than-life video projections. Shulman’s intricate textile forms add a tangible presence, creating an environment that draws you in and leaves you feeling connected.
Environment + Microclimates isn’t just an exhibition — it’s an immersive art experience. Supported by the Detroit Design District, this showcase highlights the extraordinary work of artists from the Fiber Club*, a creative community founded by Shulman in 2022. The exhibition also features incredible pieces from many Stamps faculty and alumni. Don’t miss the chance to experience this blend of art, environment, and emotion.
