IIIII.still.IIIII, a 2‑D beaded piece by Marie Wohadlo (BFA 1989) is on view at this year’s ArtPrize. ArtPrize Nine is the 2017 edition of an annual art exhibition in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with almost 200 venues featuring artwork ranging from sculptures to paintings. Wohadlo’s piece, which depicts a peaceful scene of a forest in winter, utilizes the medium of photofiber. Using 168,603 beads, her work is 48 inches tall and a massive 80 inches wide. Wohadlo also presented a mosaic entitled Mimi at the 2016 ArtPrize. ArtPrize Nine runs from September 20-October 8, and Wohadlo’s IIIII.still.IIIII is on display at the Grand Rapids Police Department.
