John Gutoskey: Queer Pop Print Featured on advocate.com
“Queer Pop”, a photo lithographic print by third-year MFA candidate John Gutoskey, is featured in a preview in the August 8th issue of The Advocate’s online magazine, advocate.com. The print was one of three chosen for inclusion in Smart Clothes Gallery’s Round Hole, Square Peg exhibition in NYC’s lower east side. Round Hole, Square Peg is a curated invitational, conceived with the intent to redefine a queer aesthetic for the 21st century. John was able to attend the opening reception on August 1st through the generous support of the Rackham Graduate School’s Travel Grant. The grant supports travel and attendance for graduate candidates in the arts at exhibitions, performances, or conferences in which they have work included.
