Guna Nadarajan on Arts Integration: 4/9 Virtual Town Hall
As part of a series of “virtual town hall” meetings held across the country to sustain a national dialogue about arts integration in higher education, the Alliance for the Arts in Research Universities (a2ru) will be hosting a webinar on Tuesday, April 9 at 3 pm EDT. As a2ru members, the entire University of Michigan community can use the coupon code WEBACAD for no-cost registration.
The webinar, featuring Stamps dean and panelist Guna Nadarajan, is entitled “Connecting the Branches: Insights from the National Academies Report on Integrative Learning.”
In 2018, Nadarajan served on a 22-person expert committee organized by The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine tasked with researching the effect of integrating the humanities and arts into STEMM fields (science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine) in higher education. The report of the committee’s findings, Branches from the Same Tree: The Integration of the Humanities and Arts with Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine in Higher Education, will be discussed in this webinar.
