Growing Pains: Solo Exhibition of Lyz Luidens’ New Work

22 Whose Streets Whose Blank Slate

Growing Pains, a series of prints by Lyz Luidens (BFA 13) that attempts to examine the relationships between a small group of politically active Detroiters, their communities, and the many changes the city has undergone in recent years, is on display at East Arbor Architecture in East Lansing, MI through July 30, 2018. This series considers what it means to be a transplant, a native, or an invader in a place (in this case, Detroit) when it comes to growth, identity, and political activism.

Join us at east arbor architecture + gallery for a reception to celebrate the opening of our newest exhibition, Growing Pains: Pulling Weeds and Planting Seeds in Detroit” a solo show featuring works by printmaker Lyz Luidens.
