Endi Poskovic Exhibits at Chelsea River Gallery
River Gallery presents Endi Poskovic’s first solo show in Southestern Michigan. Please join us for the opening reception March 30, 2013 from 5 – 8pm. Using representations of familiar imagery, Poskovic’s work proposes a range of eventualities. Hybridized narratives translate to unexpected scenarios, evoking place and time and exploring ideas of displacement, memory and reconciliation. A recipient of Guggenheim, Rockefeller, Pollock-Krasner, Camargo and McDowell Fellowships, Poskovic was educated in Yugoslavia, Norway and the US. He has exhibited extensively, representing the US in all major international print biennials and triennials. His work can be found at Harvard University Fogg Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art and Shanghai Art Museum. Poskovic is a Professor of Art and Design at the University of Michigan Stamps School of Art and Design.
The exhibition runs until May 11, 2013. Gallery hours are Tuesday — Friday, 11 – 5pm, Saturday 11 – 8, Sunday 11 – 4. For more information visit http://www.chelsearivergallery.com
