Emilia Javanica Awarded International Institute Individual Fellowship
A&D graduate student Emilia Javanica has been awarded an International Institute Individual Fellowship for her proposal “Art Old and New: The Netherlands and Indonesia”. Emilia will conduct research on the development of Indonesian contemporary arts and the encouragement of cultural exchange between Dutch and Indonesian artists in the Netherlands and Indonesia. Emilia’s research will take place this summer primarily in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Yogyakarta, Indonesia. International Institute Individual Fellowships are designed to support University of Michigan students, regardless of citizenship, who are enrolled in a degree program and wish to participate in internships or conduct research abroad. Award amounts are up to $5,000.
