The W.M. Trotter Multicultural Center is honored to be centering the voices of transgender and nonbinary individuals at our W.M. Trotter 4th Annual Lecture, with a particular focus on the intersecting identities of gender and race.

The W.M. Trotter Multicultural Center welcomes Janet Mock, author of Redefining Realness and Surpassing Certainty; and King Amiyah Scott of Fox Network’s STAR.

D Wang Zhao (BFA 18) is currently working on their senior thesis involving tunable garments for gender-variant folx (including, transgender, agender, gender non-binary, gender non-conforming, and gender fluid folx). As a 2nd generation Chinese-American, and gender non-binary person, they are looking forward to sharing the stage with other current and former students. Their speech will discuss their identities in complement to their trans-ness, as well as transgender rage”, and dating while non-binary.
