What are trans and gender nonconforming people’s rights to gender-affirming care within New York City jails and New York State prisons?
Alongside the Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP), the Bronx Defenders’ LGBTQ Defense Project, Legal Aid Society, and designer Chloe Chang, D Wang (BFA ’18) collaborated on “Your Truth, Your Rights,” an illustrated resource for trans and gender nonconforming people about their rights in NYC jails and NYS prisons.
As a designer and illustrator by day but a trans person 24/7, D Wang is excited to discuss this project for the first time.
