Stamps undergraduate student Celeste Simons’ project, I’ve Seen It, “aims to raise awareness of systemic racism in America….”
I’ve Seen It does this “by encouraging white people to share incidents of racism they’ve witnessed or perpetrated; whether blatant, passive, or involuntary.”
I’ve Seen It is an Instagram (@iveseenitproject) and Twitter (@iveseenitproj) based project. Stories submitted through direct message will be shared to the page anonymously upon request, however, please share your zip code so community leaders and educators may use the information to raise awareness in their own communities.
Missing from the national dialogue is white admittance of racism. Unless a problem is admitted, it can’t be fixed.
