Cathy VanVoorhis: Paintings on Display at Gifts of Art Gallery

A collection of paintings by Stamps Lecturer Cathy VanVoorhis (MFA 1986) will be featured at the University of Michigan Medical Center’s Gifts of Art Gallery from June 18 — September 9. 

Cathy VanVoorhis’ oil paintings are inspired by the meditative nature of bodies of water. Her work draws on the writings of naturalists and her understanding of the intricate web of human life. Through the UM Gifts of Art program, her artwork will assist and enhance the healing process, reduce stress, support human dignity and renew the spirit.
