Carrie Carlson returns to grad school for an MA in Printmaking, putting her scientific illustration background through the press to celebrate a local grasslands restoration project. The thesis exhibition took place at Governors State University (University Park, IL) April 3 – 17, 2017, and a follow-up exhibit will be featured at the Orland Park Public Library (Illinois) for the month of September 2017. Work featured includes linoleum block, woodblock, serigraphy, and aquatint etchings. Imagery celebrates plant and animal species found on the prairie.
