Stamps Associate Professor Irina Aristarkhova presented her work, All We Want Is Love”, on hospitality, AI technology, and reproduction in an opening keynote speech at the New Center for Research & Practice at The Parsons New School in New York City. Aristarkhova’s speech invited a discussion of alienation as a gendered process to start off Alien Processes: Reproduction and Time, the inaugural annual symposium of the New Center for Research & Practice.

Alien Processes: Reproduction & Time constitutes a collective attempt to previse the manner in which particular techniques, instruments, and systems may influence the human project of futurity. The inheritance of social futures by human posterity is never a given fact but rather the product of a reproductive, temporal, and predictive enterprise.
