Allen Samuels Designs for the Next Century
Professor Emeritus Allen Samuels’ design of an Ultrasonic Clothes Cleaning System is included in the summer 2011 issue of INNOVATION, the journal of The Industrial Designer’s Society of America. It is a conceptual design of a clothes cleaning device for residential use that requires no soap and no water. The two see through plastic containers function as on site hampers and when filled, each or both can be located in the unit as shown and cleaning will take place. In addition to no soap or water, no sorting of clothes is required. Containers with clean clothing can be removed from the unit and taken to a closet or drawer for storage until worn.
