Financial Support from Stamps
All applicants admitted to the MDes program will receive financial support with their admission offer, including:
- a 50% tuition scholarship,
- free health and dental benefits,
- up to $5,000 in annual project funding,
- up to $4,500 to support summer fieldwork.
Financial Support from Rackham Graduate School
Stamps graduate students are eligible to apply for additional funding through the Rackham Graduate School, including the Graduate Student Research Grant, a noncompetitive opportunity for up to $1,500 in research funding. The MDes program also annually nominates eligible students for the Merit Fellowship, Non-Traditional Fellowship and the International Student Fellowship.
Financial Support from Other University Units
Stamps graduate students are eligible to apply for – and often successful in obtaining – additional funding across the University, including grants from CEW+. Interested applicants can view a comprehensive list of graduate student funding sources on the University Library website.
