Description: In this course students create compositions and objects based on a variety of construction approaches that use stitching as their fundamental technique. These approaches include quilting, appliqué, embellishment, free motion and stitched collage. Basic machine sewing is introduced to produce pliable, layered, and sculptural surfaces.

Frequency: This course is typically offered in both the fall and winter terms of every academic year, though scheduling may vary according to future term circumstances.
