Prerequisites: ANY ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: ARTDES 241: Intro to Product Design, ARTDES 260: Intro to Sculpture; PLUS ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: ARTDES 215: Fab 1: Wood and Metal, ARTDES 216: Mold-Making and Multiples, ARTDES 217: Fab 3: Bits and Atoms.

Description: Objects mediate a wide range of human interaction and agency. Their design, creation, and uses have material as well as associative implications that affect us deeply, both as users and as makers. This course explores the relevancy of objects in both their actual and representational forms.

Frequency: This course is typically offered in the fall term of odd-numbered years, though scheduling may vary according to future term circumstances.
