Prerequisites: ALL OF THE FOLLOWING: ARTDES 205: Intro to Painting: Organizing Visual Space; PLUS ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: ARTDES 305: Busytown, ARTDES 309: Figure Painting, ARTDES 336: Comics/Graphic Narrative, ARTDES 354: Storytelling for Visual Artists and Designers, ARTDES 357: Painting and the Artificial Eye, ARTDES 376: Exploring Color in Relief Printmaking.
Description: Through painting, drawing, collage, and digital media, students develop works that imply sequence by repetition and variation, juxtaposition and association, using visual elements and the structures around them. Students develop a body of work ranging from multi-cell panels to multi-paneled polyptychs in a variety of media, as well as installations in thoughtful combinations of images and image spaces.Frequency: This course is offered occasionally in either the fall or the winter term.
