Advanced Comics

Prerequisites: All OF THE FOLLOWING: ARTDES 336: Comics/Graphic Narrative. OR PERMISSION OF INSTRUCTOR.

Description: This is an advanced course in which students will further develop their story-telling and image-making skills in the Comics medium and expand their knowledge of Comics genres and history. We will also examine formal qualities of Comics as a complex and variable narrative form. Students are encouraged to exercise autonomy and independence in developing their own projects, but guidance and direction will be provided from ideation through completion.

Frequency: This course is typically offered in the winter term of every academic year, though scheduling may vary according to future term circumstances.
