Prerequisites: All OF THE FOLLOWING: ARTDES 200: Any 200 Level Studio.

Description: Dressing Up and Down examines the transformative and communicative powers of garments, costumes, and wearable art. Using traditional and non-traditional materials, students construct body extensions and wearable sculpture inspired by culture, identity, labor, art, design, and other ideas. The emphasis is on experimentation, the development of personal expression, and material exploration.

Frequency: This course is typically offered in the fall term of even-numbered years, though scheduling may vary according to future term circumstances.
