Prerequisites: All OF THE FOLLOWING: ARTDES 255: Intro to Photography.

Description: This studio course focuses on producing, studying, and discussing photographic works and processes by artists who explore issues of gender, sexuality, race, and other politically charged or marginalized identities and perspectives. Assigned readings, discussions, films and image lectures encourage visual thinking about issues that challenge conventional art and photographic traditions, diverse audiences, nontraditional venues and other concepts as they allow latitude for creating politically and socially inspired photographic works. Required: Digital Camera and some knowledge of Photoshop. Cross-listed with WOMENSTD 344.002.

Frequency: This course is typically offered in the fall term of every academic year, though scheduling may vary according to future term circumstances.
