Description: This is a Stamps academic course and will not fulfill studio requirements. This course is designed as a series of practical workshops. Field trips and conversations with recent alums and art & design professionals are also integral to the course. Students pinpoint relevant creative career opportunities and develop the skills and materials to pursue those opportunities. Depending on their interests, students research internships, employment, freelance and entrepreneurial ventures, exhibitions, performances, and creative residencies. We work collaboratively on essential confidence-building tools including developing professional networks and creative community, honing portfolios, resumes and correspondence, crafting well-considered web presences, and sharpening interview, networking, and presentation skills. We also cover basics related to freelancing and financial literacy.

Frequency: This course is typically offered in the fall term of every academic year, though scheduling may vary according to future term circumstances.
