Terra cotta, paint, terra sigillata, floral spray,, 2023
This work is a reliquary for LGBTQ+ activist Marsha P. Johnson. Known for her distinctive flower crowns and sometimes known as the "Saint of Christopher Street", the reliquary asks questions about which bodies we value and preserve and which bodies are not. This work has been shown at the "Winterthur Transformed" exhibition and in the "Stitched into History" exhibition at the Hôtel de Talleyrand in Paris.
