The Snail is inspired by a previous writing assignment in one of my past courses. The animation and story are inspired by sexual assault and domestic abuse, as well as the ostracization that comes with it. The snail represents the survivor, while the Earth and Sun represent the perpetrators. The other beings in the forest represent the public eye and individuals who turn a blind eye to sexual violence.
