My family carries a lineage of women who embody not only love and warmth, but also strength and resilience. Their hands hold the hidden skills of the household, marked by talents engraved through years of labor, yet they also carry the tenderness and care passed down from one generation to the next. Our lips carry the stories of the past—the memories of childhood, the weight of cultural history, and the strength that sustains us. In my family, my mother’s simple whispers carry resilience, her kisses carry encouragement, and her prayers wrap around our bodies, hearts, and minds, shielding us from the hardness of the world. My 엄마 (my mom) represents this connection—the bond between the women in my family, woven through shared stories, enduring love, and the quiet warmth continually passed from mother to daughter.
