This book is the products of an investigation into the universal human experience of grief and mourning through research on traditions and practices as well as a reflection of personal experiences. The accordion folds of the book show prints on both sides. The prints on one side representing broader traditions, beliefs and practices related to death and mourning and the prints on the other representing personal memories related to loss. While grief is universally experienced, leading to beliefs and traditions in almost every corner of the world, each loss has its unique reaction for the person experiencing it.
