A small theater, made to bring delight. I created this miniature stage to sit between the books on my shelf, as I wanted to see the scenes I had imagined continue to play out in the real world. My design is inspired by Alice in Wonderland and carries a recurring motif of roses woven through its architecture, title, and characters. Alice wanders in the rose garden while the White Rabbit and the Queen of Hearts stand in the hall next to the guillotine. With multiple pieces and different ways to set the stage, viewers are invited to reimagine scenes to their taste. There are two different ways to place an LED light, above the stage and underneath, for more ambiance. The theater brings whimsical elements to an otherwise dull bookshelf. I believe joy can be brought to the spaces we inhabit with imagination. This piece also comes with a box that holds all the pieces and an assembly booklet.
