Every Thursday night, the Michigan Theater is packed full of Stamps students gripping paper attendance slips while they push and shove through a suffocating crowd. This piece, made for Phoebe Gloeckner's "Busytown" course, is inspired by the claustrophobic discomfort of this communal experience. It is both stuffy and full of life---there's something new to see in every corner, and everyone knows some other people in the crowd, but all have the same goal: get out.
