This piece features two characters Princess Sunita and Princess Imara, from an original story. For six years, the two warriors battle each other in an annual tournament to maintain peace between their kingdoms, building up years of tension between them — annoyance with each other, determination to win… maybe a little bit of admiration.
On a warm summer afternoon following a particularly intense battle in the tournament, a confrontation occurs.
“Must you aim your blade at me while holding me so gently, Princess?”
“You say this, yet you have not dropped your own sword, Your Highness”
It is hard to say whether they share a meaningful moment during an impromptu dance, or if the fight from earlier is simply continuing outside the arena.
