Photography, Printed media on 28# Paper, and Matte Epson Paper
Undergraduate
My project focuses on cultivating my passion for music, while expressing that to the public through a tactile printed image. All of which is compiled into a book called “The Print DJ”, a magazine-style publication displaying new music and local bands. By incorporating well-crafted print, photography, typography, and design techniques, I aim to push away from digital media and embrace a connection through a frozen moment between each page. With so much of our current music being crafted by algorithms and AI, we sometimes lose out on lesser-known music that we can appreciate- whilst also not being able to connect with it on a deeper level. The Print DJ is your new way to find new music and connect with your community!
As a designer, my work coincides with my passions. I have a huge drive for music, digital media, entertainment, and video game media; funneling these passions into my work has been a major factor this past year. Furthermore, my appreciation for drumming, skateboarding, and physical media is all tied into my work, creating personal, expressive experiences that can be felt through every page of the book.
