Track/Record is a series of three multimedia album covers exploring how scale creates an immersive experience that deepens engagement with album art.
On streaming platforms, covers are reduced to tiny icons, often overlooked. By enlarging them, I invite the audience to enter the musician’s world, experiencing
the textures, brushstrokes, and details that shape their identity.
As a multimedia artist and designer from New York, I’ve been captivated by
the music industry since I was 14—the passionate creatives and the limitless
opportunities for innovation. For this project, I collaborated with young musi-
cians from diverse backgrounds to create their ideal covers. Through remote
and in-person meetings, we built inspiration boards and explored the emo-
tions, origins, and imagery behind their music. Late-night conversations and
text chains allowed me to step into their perspective, ensuring each cover was
a meaningful extension of their artistry.
Each cover is displayed with an MP3 player featuring the song it was designed
for, inviting the audience to fully immerse themselves in the music and art. The
pieces incorporate oil painting, photography, collage, graphic design, sewing, and drawing—an interdisciplinary approach that visually translates an artist’s
message, resonating with musicians, fans, and broader audiences.
