In the center of three white walls is a table covered by a black tablecloth. On the table are six sets of six different, digitally drawn, laser printed paper zines centered around the topic of anxiety. They are organized in acrylic magazine holders and printed in ink, with some of them having red accents. Hung behind the zines, on the walls, are posters displaying enlarged covers of the zines.

Cortisol Comics is a series of five digitally illustrated zines that explore anxiety disorder. The zines delve into different aspects of anxiety, using comedic framing like satire and irony to examine and make light of the topic. By presenting anxiety through a humorous lens, the series aims to create a relatable experience that offers comfort to those who struggle with it. These zines are grounded in both academic research on anxiety and personal experiences with the disorder, as well as in comics, books, and other zines that inform the series’ structure and style.
