“Reflections of the Unseen” is a life-sized interactive sculpture that explores the duality of human identity through the tension between visibility and concealment. Inspired by phenomenology and depth psychology, the work invites viewers into a mirrored, cave-like space where the physical interaction with form and reflection reveals concealed aspects of both the sculpture and the self. The sculpture features a smooth, polished front symbolizing the curated public self and a rough, textured back embodying the hidden or unconscious. Strategic placement of mirrors fragments and reframes these views, prompting a journey of recognition, curiosity, revelation, and ultimately, self-acceptance. Through this embodied experience, the project challenges viewers to confront the layers of identity they show—and those they suppress.
