This installation investigates cold, liminal hallways through the process of weaving. Aiming to view these mundane spaces differently, this work calls to question how these spaces serve us. Through the process of weaving, cutting, and re-hand weaving, the space is held, paid attention to, and noticed. Through abstraction and chaos, the details emerge. What makes up these hallways? Look closely. Uncertainty, places of transition, passage - these structured hallways are all around us. What is our interaction as humans in utilitarian spaces? Woven on a Jacquard TC2 loom, these hallways explore its ties between machine and human. What defines a space and what can be rewritten? Can we notice the detail and beauty in something we pass through everyday? How do we exist when we are in passage, in the in-between?
