In 2012, Washko founded "The Council on Gender Sensitivity and Behavioral Awareness in World of Warcraft" with a goal to facilitate discussions with other players about the misogynistic, homophobic, racist and discriminatory language used by players within the game space. Instead of continuing to go on quests and kill stuff as she did for many years prior to this project, she created a series of video-documented performances and live theater events presenting the conversations she had with players about the political climate within the game space. The project has recently been presented in exhibitions at the Julia Stoschek Collection (Dussedorf, Germany), Centre Pompidou-Metz, STUK (Leuven, Belgium), Peabody Essex Museum (Salem, MA), and Museo de Arte de Lima (Lima, Peru).
