How far we have come since the end of WWII but how many of us actually know the story of the atomic bomb that hit Hiroshima. The recent Oppenheimer movie shows a small scene of hallucinations that Oppenheimer has about the victims but how short and insensitive it was compared to the true full story. After actually going to the Peace memorial park I felt there had to be something done about the insensitivity. I have complied archived materials as well as public pieces of work as an experimental/educational film.

In a lot of the archival material it talked about the victims being students and children, not soldiers. After the bombings, Japan was controlled for 7 years by the US. All media prohibited any involvement with the bombings including its negative effect on humans. After the end of US control, artwork by the victims were displayed and memorials were built to remember. Students in Japan in a variety of interests still create art about the bombings to this day. You can see the art made were years later (7yo to 70) yet they still remember the stark imagery they saw that day. It is all extremely emotional.
