Artist Book, Woodcut Printmaking Collage

Undergraduate
Form is an artist book that embodies the concept of form itself. Transcending conventional book structures, Form takes the reader on a playful, tactile journey through its colorful pages, revealing various flaps, cutouts, and meandering lines that can be mixed and matched to create beautiful compositions. The rhythmic visuals are fabricated using relief woodblock printmaking techniques on BFK rives paper and the companion printmaking collage is made from the negatives of the book’s pages, placing elements of the making process on display. Together, the artist book and printmaking collage evoke an intimate sensation between the reader and the artistry, allowing for touch to guide the visual narrative and create an endless stream of possible sculptural and pictorial arrangements.
