This work is about color and texture. Colors are seeping together, filling the white space, covering the voids. One loses control during the dye process and compositional choices take the control back from the free-flowing colors. The cubes are three-dimensional and highly tactile. Cube colors are chosen to interact with the background and highlight the brighter hues seeping out of the deeply dyed spaces. In this piece, there is a sense of natural organic space being filled with regimented, rectilinear, man-made mass.
