At what point is the present fragmented into the isolated instances in our memory? How much of our recollection is true, and how much is invented? 3 Guerrien is an exploration of the distortion of memory over time. The result of this process is often a collage of disparate elements that combine to form one deceptively cohesive narrative.
The prevalence of natural light and shadow references a specific moment that has passed, leaving these images as documentation. Like memories, the paintings have moments of clarity despite the occasional inconsistencies and obscurities that call their reliability into question.
