Ivory: Intangible Cultural Heritage is an artist book that explores the cultural drivers behind the ivory trade, exploring both the historical and social significance of the material in Chinese culture as well as perspectives on consumption that can be applied to American culture. As a first generation American, the artist explores the issue through both her American and Chinese lenses in order to understand the challenges, impacts, and solutions this normalized phenomenon poses.
