In exploring interventions, toxic masculinity, toxic neglect of personal development, and being an asshole to people, I became inspired to make a puppet and character I call "The Creature". This is basically a large talking head of a puppet that's attached to a wheel chair and has two large feet that also partially resemble hands. This monstrous character loves to shout and spew his manifestos as anyone who will listen, especially the audience in comedy clubs, his favorite venue. This figure gives terrible life advice and is abrasive, but hopes to change his ways and become a caring person. The installation is involves a live performance in a recreation of a comedy club with a stage and microphone, with the Creature on stage. There's also a film staring the Creature called Creature Feature which will be screened at the Michigan Theater.
