My project is a hand-drawn animation depicting the life of two brothers who share supernatural powers, loosely based on my childhood with my own older brother. In my work, I want to capture my audience with the bond I shared with my brother with a heavy narrative of a post-apocalyptic world. After a nuclear aftermath, the world must learn how to keep the world from crumbling by studying a mysterious gene that has granted a chunk of the population supernatural abilities. The experiments on these individuals is extreme and chastising of human freedom, which the brothers must find a way to escape from before it is too late.

In my youth, I feel my brother lost his life while saving mine, in my work I want to share the struggles of coping with such a loss at a young age, how it has affected me, and that I feel I can best convey that pain through this format. I want to encourage the embrace of feeling and conveying pain that others can relate to. Animation provides a beautiful and intimate instance for such things to happen, so the sharing of one story could lead to the telling of another.
