Building Better-Life Cairns with Our Great Hope (2021) is a series of two workshops where I worked with two facilitators for six urban residents. At the end of the workshops, we performed Tabdori, an old ceremony to fire up hope for a better life in Korea by walking around the cairns. I intended to recontextualize our very common activities that helped people pursue a better life in the context of unusual activities in which participants were posed questions about one’s value and to stack their objects in a creative manner.
