UMMA After Hours
Art, music, atmosphere — the University of Michigan Museum of Art invites you to spend the evening with us at this FREE community event: Friday, October 18 from 7 – 10pm.
More than 1,000 people attended UMMA After Hours last fall for this festive gathering! Explore the permanent collection galleries and enjoy special exhibitions including sweeping landscapes by the iconic photographer Brett Weston; rarely seen sculptures by one of the founding members of the Abstract Expressionists, Adolph Gottlieb; and a selection of architectural projects by N H D M / Nahyun Hwang + David Eugin Moon. Enjoy live music by Aguankó, the Michigan based Latin jazz ensemble led by conguero and composer Alberto Nacif, that blends the traditions of jazz, son, and salsa. Curators’ conversations and light refreshments round out the event.
